SSSTS - Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (CITB)

Introduction

Moving up to a supervisory role is a fantastic opportunity within our industry, and with it comes a multitude of responsibilities. To supervise effectively and work well between management and workers on the ground, supervisors must understand all aspects of their role and none more so than the safety of their site and people.

This Site Supervisor Training Scheme course introduces health and safety, welfare and environmental issues to workers that need knowledge of their legal responsibilities relevant to their work. Training provides delegates with a sound knowledge base enabling them to give valuable assistance in safely managing a construction site, covering all relevant legislation and essential elements relating to site safety in a supervisory role.

The core aim is for them to know:

  • Why they are carrying out their identified duties
  • What is expected of them from management, site workers and suppliers
  • Their contribution to the safety of the workplace
Course Outline

This course consists of classroom-based exercises and tutorials featuring best practice sharing, group work, and case studies. In addition, delegates will cover legislative and practical knowledge and awareness of site safety.

The course reflects national standards and industry best practices and is fully accredited in line with regulations. Learn with Citrus, and delegates benefit from our custom-built training facilities and customer-first approach.

Our occupationally and technically-experienced educators will coach and assess delegates throughout this two-day course, with delegates finishing the session delivering a Toolbox Talk and taking a written exam. To qualify for the certificate, they must pass the examinations with a minimum 80% pass grade, after which they will receive a five-year certification.
