UKATA - Sets the standards in asbestos training

The UKATA association sets the standards in asbestos training and ensures that its members meet those standards. UKATA certified courses intend to build awareness of the possible dangers of asbestos exposures.

The UKATA Certificate
The UKATA certificate is evidence that a delegate has undertaken asbestos awareness training. Any employee accountable or can influence the disturbance of asbestos while conducting their daily work activities is legally required to be trained on asbestos awareness, so they can identify asbestos containing materials (ACM’s) and understand the protocol if they come across them.

Who needs a UKATA Certificate
The UKATA asbestos awareness certificate may be appropriate for you if you are in the following job role; general maintenance staff, electricians, plumbers, gas fitters, painters and decorators, joiners, plasterers, demolition workers, construction workers, roofers, heating and ventilation engineers, telecommunication engineers, burglar and fire alarm installers, architects, building surveyors and other such professionals.
