EUSR - Install, Inspect & Remove Proprietary Support Systems (Category 5)

Introduction

Before anyone can enter any kind of trench or excavation, the area must have ground retention support systems in place to protect workers from side or ground collapse and cave-in. For trained operatives, Proprietary Support Systems are quicker to install than standard sheeting, walling and strutting methods of support and are often used while inspections are carried to out to decide on a steel, timber, or mechanical system for the works.

The Energy & Utility Skills Register (EUSR) is the online register of training and skills for the energy and utility sector. In partnership with CSCS, the EUSR sets out to nurture and maintain a skilled and sustainable workforce in our industry.

This EUSR Propietary Support Systems Category 5 certification delivers the necessary skills, knowledge, and understanding of proprietary ground retention systems and how to safely use install and remove them. It is specifically aimed at Managers, Supervisors, operators and safety advisors working in excavations. Essential for anyone working in these areas with no formal training.
