EUSR - Locate Utility Services - (Category 1)

    This course is for anyone managing or needing to understand utility drawings in order to avoidunderground services and those who need to employ service location equipment in order tosuccessfully identify various types of underground services.

    It is also for individuals who must manage or be aware of the imminent danger associated withhitting underground services.

  • The Aim

    This one-day course covers the training and assessment required for those working to safely detectutility services using recognised and approved detection methods

  • Course Content

    The EUSR Category 1 course content includes the following:

    - Plan to locate and identify services

    - Health, safety and environmental legislation

    - Company policies and procedures

    - Prepare resources to locate and identify services

    - Locate and detect services using utility plans

    - Risk assessments

    - Locating and marking positions of services

    - Your responsibilities

    - HSE Legislation

    - Practical session

    By the end of the course the delegate will be able to:

    - Interpret utility drawings and line search documents

    - Use location equipment to locate underground services

    - Identify the dangers and hazards associated with underground services
