Jointer's Mate (DNO)

Introduction

Cable Jointing is quite simply, jointing cables with a connector or joint mechanism to suit the job. An Electrical Jointer is responsible for installing and maintaining underground power cables, joining said lengths of cable and connecting underground cables to system parts such as overhead supply lines and electricity substations. The Jointer’s Mate assists the Jointer in these tasks on low and high voltage networks, with a trained background in electrical safety and jointing activities.

This Citrus Jointer’s Mate qualification enables delegates to demonstrate skill, knowledge, and competence to work effectively and understand what’s expected of them as a Jointer’s Mate.

Course Outline

Through a mix of practical and theory-based exercises and tutorials, delegates will cover general knowledge and awareness of Jointer’s Mate responsibilities and participate in practical activities to learn best practices and operating methods.

The course reflects national standards and industry best practices and is fully accredited in line with regulations. In addition, choose to learn with Citrus, and delegates will benefit from our custom-built training facilities and customer-first approach.
