NEBOSH National General Certificate

Introduction

This course is delivered in association with Phoenix Health and Safety.

Being safe at work is the right of anyone, and so health and safety regulation and training are not just for the high-risk physical sectors. Occupational health and safety cover a broad spectrum. With so many different job roles in the market today across all industries, it has never been more critical to ensure all employees are as happy and healthy at work as possible.

This NEBOSH General Certificate course allows employers to improve the safety culture within their organisation, helping them understand what occupational health and safety are, what it means to them, and how to apply measures to minimise risk at work. With an updated syllabus reflecting workplaces from 2020 onwards, the General Certificate represents current challenges and opportunities for employees and employers to be healthy and safe. More than 200,000 people have passed the General Certificate to date, and as a renowned industry standard, these numbers will continue to rise.

Course Outline

Case studies, relatable scenarios, and discussions combined with practical activities take delegates through health and safety fundamentals and knowledge of relevant legislation. Taken over two parts, the assessment consists of:

Delegates complete the session at home with a written examination relating to a real-life scenario. They have 24 hours to complete the paper and must pass the assessment to receive a NEBOSH General Certificate.
