NVQ Level 7 Diploma in Construction Senior Management
- Who Attends
The NVQ is for senior construction professionals working in as policy-making, director or seniorposition, these roles include senior project managers, contracts and production managers, operationsmanagers and commercial managers.
- The Aim
The qualification gives learners the opportunity to:
•develop the technical skills, role-relatedknowledge and understanding, and behaviours required to work in a wide range of construction seniormanagement roles, including construction manager, construction supervisor, production manager,commercial manager, operations director of a small company, property and facilities manager andspecialist construction manager. These skills and knowledge are also applicable to constructionproject manager roles

•achieve a nationally-recognised Level 7 qualification.
- Course Content
•Control budgets and contract entitlement in construction management
•Develop self and others in construction management
•Participate in meetings
•Lead and manage meetings
•Provide advice, judgement and service ethically in construction management
•Plan, allocate and monitor work in own area of responsibility
•Plan, allocate and monitor work of a team
•Examine staff turnover issues in own area of responsibility
•Recruit staff in own area of responsibility
•Manage teams in construction management
•Manage project processes in construction management.
There are 11 Mandatory modules and 5 optional modules
The learner will be assessed by an occupationally competent and qualified assessor whose job is towork with the learner and help the learner complete the pathway.The learner will be required to produce a Portfolio of Evidence showing how they have met theperformance and knowledge criteria for each unit required within the pathway, as directed by theirassessor.
