Citrus Training is one-third of a group of businesses that make up The Citrus Group. Other businesses within the Group are Altitude Safety - one of the UK's leading safety equipment suppliers and BBE Training - a supplier of academic training from AATs to CMI Level 7.
The Role
The role of the Marketing Executive is to primarily support the Marketing Manager in creating marketing campaigns relating to the objectives of the business. To offer new ideas and advice on campaigns based around market research and data collected within the business. To support in day-to-day tasks and to help facilitate marketing aid throughout the Citrus Group. They will work well and closely with the team and stakeholders throughout the business.
As a Marketing Executive your responsibilities will include strategic and tactical execution of creative and engaging marketing campaigns, executing marketing strategies, planning marketing events and, developing an online presence and content writing for websites and campaigns. You will be expected to deliver any activity on time, in-line with agreed budgets and ensure they deliver a return on investment (ROI).
This role will allow you to continually develop your marketing skills, and there is a lot of scope for professional growth and career progression. Seeing projects through from conception to completion will allow you to hone your skills and build on your experience. You will also develop your knowledge and understanding of all core marketing disciplines and the ability to project manage key marketing strategies and campaigns.

Key Areas of Responsibility
Campaign Management
- Work with the Marketing Manager to create a campaign schedule across the Group that encompasses email, social and digital.
- Liaise with stakeholders across the group to decide the messages and audiences for the campaigns
- Manage the email database and segment the data appropriately.
- Write the content and distribute the marketing emails to relevant data
- Conduct regular evaluation and create reports on campaigns to understand the effectiveness of them, and suggest improvements.
- Work with the sales team to create client nurture campaigns
Content Strategy
- Work with stakeholders internally and externally to understand market trends within the industry and the trending topics
- Create a content schedule across the group, including prioritising articles
- Keep updated with the latest industry news and add into the content schedule where necessary
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders to put basic content together
BAU Marketing Initiatives
Day to day marketing activities including but not limited to:
- PPC optimisation
- Creative output for the department.
- Maintain the brand across the businesses and ensure consistency

The Person
Experience
- Must be working as a Marketing Executive or in a similar marketing role with 4/5 years experience
Skills & Attributes
- Good understanding of market research techniques, data analysis and statistics methods (Universal Analytics or GA4)
- Thorough knowledge of strategic planning principles and marketing best practices
- Experience with maintaining websites
- Proficient in MS Office and marketing software
- Exposure to working with a CRM and marketing automation
- Familiarity with social media and web analytics
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities
- Creativity and commercial awareness
- Excellent attention to detail
Hours
Monday to Thursday 08:30 – 17:30 & Friday 08:00 – 17:00
The successful candidate will have a flexible approach to working hours to accommodate the needs of our clients and the business.
Salary
£25,000 - £30,000 (subject to experience)

- Holiday - 25 Days per annum, plus bank holidays (3 or 4 days to be saved for a shutdown at Christmas).
