Demand for more housing reflects in the rapid growth of new homes being built across the UK, with Residential Building now one of the largest areas of the construction sector. The government outlines the country needs an estimated 300,000 homes per year to meet targets.

Following the effects of the pandemic, industry now expects the housing market to grow by 12% in 2022.

Since 2019, many local authorities have also introduced their own residential building provisions to help aid and support low-income and social housing needs – increasing their demand for skilled workers and suitably qualified supply chain members.
