Citrus Certified - Skid Steer

Introduction

A small, versatile piece of construction equipment, a Skid Steer is primarily used for digging and moving material and heavy loads. It gets its name from the way it turns and with wheels or tracks fixed at one angle, they only point straight ahead. The wheels or tracks on each side of the vehicle are locked in sync and have their own engines. They come in various sizes to suit different purposes such as:

  • Demolition
  • Roadworks
  • Excavation
  • Digging
  • Loading
  • Landscaping
  • Backfilling
  • And more…

This Citrus certification delivers the necessary skills, knowledge, and understanding of safely using a Skid Steer. It is specifically aimed at Plant Operators who want to learn how to safely operate a Skid Steer on construction sites. In addition, they’ll cover compliance with the law and employee health and safety and that of anyone else affected by their actions, preparing them for theory and practical Skid Steer tests.
