Citrus Certified - Vehicle Banksman / Lorry Marshal

Introduction

The terms Vehicle Marshal and Vehicle Banksman describe the same thing. The term Marshal is more reflective of the diverse duties the role can include in the public space such as events, parking and security.

In construction terms, as we are talking about here, the position is that of anyone trained and appointed to control the movement of plant and vehicles on site. Not to be confused with a Slinger who is load specific, the Vehicle Marshal/Vehicle Banksman will supervise, control and direct vehicle movement on-site to manage and prevent accidents and collisions.

This Citrus certification provides delegates with a thorough understanding of the hazards associated with moving vehicles on site. They will learn how to provide and maintain safe access routes for both pedestrians and vehicles through the implementation of the correct control measures to reduce risks to their health.

Course Outline

A mix of practical and theory-based exercises and tutorials take delegates through the procedures and legislation relating to Vehicle Banksman / Vehicle Lorry Marshal. In addition, they’ll participate in practical activities to learn components and functions, best practices and operating methods.

The course reflects national standards and industry best practices and is fully accredited in line with regulations. In addition, choose to learn with Citrus, and delegates will benefit from our custom-built training facilities and customer-first approach.
