Citrus Certified - Wheeled Loading Shovel

Introduction

A Wheeled Loading Shovel is a tractor-like vehicle with a shovel attachment specifically designed to perform heavy-duty earthwork and construction operations such as extracting from a stockpile or bank and loading vehicles. A wheeled machine is also popular in the recycling and waste sector for its versatility in movement and loading capabilities.

There are two main types of loading shovel vehicles- tracked, primarily used to  backfill, spread and level various types of material using a multi-purpose front bucket or wheeled, which cleans, spreads, and levels materials.  Correct and proper preparation is critical to ensure that the loading shovel will work safely and efficiently, so training is essential.

This Citrus certification delivers the necessary skills, knowledge, and understanding of safely using a Wheeled Loading Shovel. It is specifically aimed at Plant Operators who want to learn how to safely operate a Wheeled Loading Shovel on construction sites. In addition, they’ll cover compliance with the law and employee health and safety and that of anyone else affected by their actions, preparing them for theory and practical wheeled loading shovel tests.
