The Brief

Berkeley Homes wanted a training programme that gave employees starting their first job with them vital business skills to work collaboratively with others. They wanted to offer these business skills while learning a vocational qualification at the same time. Apprenticeships for the appropriate new starters was the ideal route to take to do this.

Our Approach

Citrus Training has a specifically designed set of apprenticeship programmes that are tailored to the construction and built environment sectors. We understand that there is a gap in the market for these types of qualifications that can be used directly and are proven efficient and high-quality in the industry.

We have a dedicated Apprentice Division, which means that delegates can start their programmes smoothly in conjunction with their roles. Both learners and the Berkeley Homes training team receive a complete introduction to the content, meet the trainers and are included in the learner reviews. In addition, Berkeley and its learners have access to our bespoke online learning system. This allows Berkeley visibility of how their employees perform under the programme, with measurability metrics and reporting just a click away.

The Result

Berkeley Homes took three candidates onto our Level 3 Team Leader and Supervisor Standard, combined with an NVQ Level 3 in Occupational Site Supervision. On completion, they would receive a Supervisor Gold CSCS card, allowing them to work onsite and lead their teams safely and productively.

Berkeley Homes have continued to work closely with Citrus Training and have placed further apprentice site managers onto the Level 3 Team Leader and Supervisor Apprenticeship Standard, which is improving their talent and workforce.
