The Brief

Established in 1847 by brewer J.C. Jacobsen, Carlsberg Group is one of the leading brewery groups in the world today, with a vast UK brewery based locally to us here in Northampton. A significant part of their training requires rigorous and regular Confined Space education. With hundreds of operatives in various shift patterns, working with complex and dangerous machinery in tight, restricted areas, accredited training is essential to keep them safe and production moving.

Our Approach

To manage the numbers of operatives across various shift patterns and ensure their training meets the specific needs of Carlsberg manufacturing requirements, we collaborated with them to develop a bespoke training programme delivered on-site in their confined space. As a result, our occupationally experienced and highly qualified trainers and assessors would have in-depth, compliant and relatable course content to give operatives everything they need to carry out their work. Doing so, while incorporating their specific breathing apparatus and gas-tight suits, would ensure complete confidence and familiarity with the space and equipment they will need to use for work at Carlsberg.

The Result

Citrus Training deliver the Safe Use of Full Working BA & Gas Tight Suits on-site at Carlsberg to hundreds of operatives throughout the year. In addition, we invested in more breathing apparatus and equipment to further support Carlsberg and, as a result, continue to receive bulk bookings as a preferred supplier for their Confined Space training. We look forward to further developing our relationship with Carlsberg and collaborating on future projects.
