Jointer's Appreciation (DNO)

Introduction

The definition of Cable Jointing is simply the joining of cables with a connector or joint mechanism to suit the job. An Electrical Jointer is responsible for installing and maintaining underground power cables, joining said cable lengths and connecting underground cables to system parts such as overhead supply lines and electricity substations. But that's not to say that the Jointer’s job is an easy one; on the contrary. With so much responsibility working in potentially high-risk areas, techniques and terminology to learn, training is essential to ensure every Electrical Jointer is up to the job.

This Citrus Jointer’s Appreciation qualification gives delegates and employers an understanding of the skill, knowledge, and competence needed to work effectively and safely as an Electrical Jointer and Jointers’ Mate.

Course Outline

Through a mix of practical and theory-based exercises and tutorials, delegates will cover general knowledge and awareness of a Jointer’s responsibilities and participate in practical activities to learn best practices and operating methods.

The course reflects national standards and industry best practices and is fully accredited in line with regulations. In addition, choose to learn with Citrus, and delegates will benefit from our custom-built training facilities and customer-first approach.

Our occupationally and technically-experienced trainers coach delegates on this course in the Jointing School, completing the session with a practical observation and short answer question paper.
