Introduction
Before anyone can enter any kind of trench or excavation, the area must have ground retention support systems in place to protect workers from side or ground collapse and cave-in. For trained operatives, Proprietary Support Systems are quicker to install than standard sheeting, walling and strutting methods of support and are often used while inspections are carried to out to decide on a steel, timber, or mechanical system for the works.
