The ideal introduction to the industry, it provides a practical summary of health and safety, welfare and environmental issues, individual and co-worker responsibilities, employer duties, and what they must do if they think someone’s health and safety is at risk.

Course Outline

Primarily classroom-based exercises and tutorials featuring best practice sharing, group work, and discussions, delegates will cover legislative and practical knowledge and awareness. Working towards understanding the what, when, and why of safety practices and procedures in the industry.

Our occupationally and technically-experienced educators will coach and assess delegates throughout this one-day course, finishing the session with a written exam. They must pass the exam with a minimum 83% pass grade to qualify for the certificate, which is valid for five years from the date of completion.

• Report unsafe acts to prevent an accident
