Introduction
Preparing the lift plan is critical for lifting operations on-site for Crane Supervisors and Operators to do their work and is managed by the Appointed Person. They are responsible for the execution and safety of a lifting operation, and while they may delegate work to other team members, they remain accountable for the procedure.
This NOCN CSkills Level 5 NVQ Diploma in Controlling Lifting Operations - Planning Lifts (Construction) enables delegates to upgrade their CPCS or NPORS-CSCS trained operator card with an NVQ Diploma in Controlling Lifting Operations, certifying competence as an Appointed Person.
Course Outline
We assess this NVQ over three on-site assessments while the delegate carries out their day-to-day duties. Rather than producing a portfolio over time, our specifically assigned assessors gather evidence in photographs, videos, method statements and professional discussions to take forward for examination.
To pass this qualification, delegates must successfully complete and achieve all seven Mandatory Units.
