Accidents are often serious, and can lead to life changing injuries, with most being caused by no training, incorrect use, (including misuse), poor maintenance and damaged equipment to name but a few.
To that end, it is important users are trained and understand how to undertake safe operation of power tools within the workplace. This is not just from a moral viewpoint, but is also a legal requirement as well as benefiting an organisation financially longer term.
Course Outline
The Citrus Training Safe Use of Power Tools course has been designed to develop course delegates knowledge and safe operation of power tools in the workplace.
The course covers not just the use of power tools but provides the underpinning knowledge to assist in the prevention of accidents and injuries to users, or anyone else who may be affected by the operation.

On Completion
At the end of the training delegates will sit a short MCQ paper and a practical assessment.
On successful completion of both the above elements delegates will be awarded with a Citrus Training Ltd certificate valid for 3 years, at which time refresher training will be required.

Legislation requires that employers provide safe
equipment, safe systems, PPE and training to ensure the safety of their employees or anyone else affected.
No. On successful completion of the course candidates will receive a Citrus Training Ltd certificate, valid for 3 years.
Most candidates can complete the course within 1 day. However, candidates with little or no experience, or use a wide variety of power tools within their role, would be better attending the 2 day course.
There is a short multiple-choice question paper at the end of the course, covering what has been contained within the course. There is also a practical assessment of the inspection and use of power tools. Candidates who attend the course should have no problem being successful.
The course includes getting ‘hands on’ with common
power tools found within the workplace.
All delegates will require the following PPE; Safety
footwear, gloves, safety glasses, hi-vis and face mask.
