The Management of Working at Height

Working at height is naturally a high-risk activity, which workers must never take lightly. The hierarchy of control, just one of the elements taught in this course, even starts with the question, can the work be done safely from the ground? So, with this in mind, extensive, high-quality training for operatives, supervisors and managers alike is essential to ensure everyone is safe working at height and the work is efficient and productive.

This Citrus Management of Working at Height qualification provides those working in management the knowledge and competency to ensure safe working and compliance with Working at Height 2005 and any other relevant legislation that dictates safe working practices.

Delegates will receive training in the various legislation associated with work at height and a background in the different additional pieces of access equipment available to aid safety and prevent accidents.

Course Outline

Through video and theory-based exercises and tutorials, delegates will cover compliance with relevant legal obligations associated with managing working at height. In addition, the course includes the checks a Permit Issuer makes to issue a permit, such as work team competencies, equipment, emergency arrangements and methods of communication. Finally, they will look at the correct procedures and steps involved in the issue of a Working at Height Permit and when the Issuer may refuse issue.

The course reflects national standards and industry best practices and is fully accredited in line with regulations. In addition, choose to learn with Citrus, and delegates benefit from our custom-built training facilities and customer-first approach.

Our occupationally and technically-experienced trainers coach delegates on this course, through professional discussion and group participation, with a desktop exercise and short written assessment on completion.
