What are Professional Qualifications?
Professional Qualifications are NVQs which are lifetime qualifications.
NVQs have the potential to improve employability and transferable skills. In addition, they are a recognised and flexible route to market, showing that delegates can meet national industry standards in their work area.
A construction-specific NVQ is a benchmark qualification, proving occupational competence to current and future employers who, in return, can develop and retain a trained, skilled workforce. NVQs are available in practical, theory only and combined courses to suit and qualify delegates in a broad spectrum of skills and knowledge needs across the sector.
Which course should I take?
Our Construction Supervisor and Management NVQs are accredited by NOCN and ideal for those looking to apply for a CSCS Gold or Black Card.
Covering a range of different topics, our Construction NVQs (L3 -L7) ensure delegates have all of the necessary knowledge and skills to move up in their career. If you are not sure which course to book, talk to our expert team about your or your delegates’ current role, goals and objectives, and they will advise you on the best course to take to reach them.
Delegates completing NVQs must be in a relevant role to gather the necessary evidence and produce their work portfolio. We will support delegates from start to completion with a dedicated Assessor regularly liaising with them through a mixture of online and face-to-face meetings.
Our courses include:
Supervisor NVQ
If you are working towards your CSCS Gold Card, you will need to take a Level 3 or 4 NVQ in Construction Contracting Operations or Construction Site Supervision. To see a complete list of courses, click here.
Management NVQ
Work towards your CSCS Black Card with our Site Management Level 6 & 7 NVQs in Construction Contracting Operations and Construction Site Management. To view a complete list, click here.

At Citrus, we want training and opportunities to be available for as many delegates as possible. Those companies who are CITB Registered can claim grants for all our professional qualifications.
